Overview
Fractions are parts of a whole. They show how many parts we have out of a total number of equal parts. For example, if you have a pizza cut into 4 slices and you eat 1 slice, you have eaten 1 out of 4 slices, which is written as 1/4. Understanding fractions helps us in cooking, sharing, and measuring things in our daily lives.
